Terms of Service

Last updated: June 5, 2026

Welcome to Hostly. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your purchase and use of the Hostly WordPress plugin and related services (collectively, the “Service”) offered through hostlybot.com (the “Website”) by Ubaid (“we,” “us,” or “our”), operating as a sole proprietor based in Rawalpindi, Pakistan.

By purchasing, downloading, installing, or using Hostly, you (“you” or “Customer”) agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What you’re buying

Hostly is a WordPress plugin (the “Software”) that adds an AI-powered chat widget to your website. When you purchase Hostly, you receive:

  • A digital download of the Software (a .zip file)
  • A license key that authorizes installation on up to 3 WordPress sites per purchase
  • Lifetime updates to the v1.x product line
  • Access to email support at support@hostlybot.com

The Software is licensed, not sold. You purchase the right to use it under these Terms.

2. License grant

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide license to:

  • Install Hostly on up to 3 WordPress sites that you own or operate
  • Use Hostly for your own commercial or non-commercial purposes
  • Receive updates through the WordPress plugin update system

You may NOT:

  • Resell, redistribute, sublicense, or transfer your license or the Software
  • Remove or modify any copyright, license, or attribution notices
  • Reverse-engineer the Software except as permitted by applicable law
  • Use the Software to violate any law, including spam, harassment, or fraud
  • Use the Software to operate websites that distribute illegal content, malware, adult content involving minors, or content prohibited by your local jurisdiction
  • Share your license key publicly or allow others to use it

3. Pricing and payment

The current price for a Hostly license is $97 USD, charged as a one-time payment. Payment is processed by Paddle.com Market Limited (our merchant of record), which handles billing, tax, and chargebacks on our behalf.

All prices are in USD and exclusive of taxes. Paddle collects any applicable VAT, sales tax, or GST based on your country of residence.

4. Third-party services and your API keys

Hostly is designed to use your own API credentials for third-party AI providers:

  • Anthropic Claude API — required for AI-generated chat responses
  • ElevenLabs API — optional, for voice synthesis

You are responsible for:

  • Obtaining and managing your own API keys
  • Paying any fees charged by these providers
  • Complying with their respective terms of service

We do not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for any third-party services. Their availability, pricing, and policies may change without notice.

5. Customer data

Hostly runs on your WordPress installation. We do not store, process, or have access to your visitors’ data, including chat transcripts, captured leads, or any personal information collected by the plugin. Visitor data stays on your WordPress server. You are the data controller for any personal data collected via the Software.

You are responsible for complying with all applicable privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) when using Hostly. The Software includes a configurable consent checkbox to help you comply.

6. Updates and support

We provide bug fixes, security updates, and new features for the Hostly v1.x product line at no additional cost (“Lifetime Updates”). A future major version (e.g., a SaaS product or v2.0) may be offered as a separate paid product.

Support is provided via email at support@hostlybot.com during reasonable business hours (Monday–Friday, 9 AM–6 PM Pakistan Standard Time). We aim to respond within 1 business day but make no guarantees of response time.

7. Refunds

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee from the date of purchase. See our Refund Policy for full details.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Software is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee:

  • That the Software will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every WordPress configuration
  • That AI-generated responses will be accurate, appropriate, or free of errors (AI can hallucinate; you should review the bee’s responses for your business)
  • That the Software will result in increased leads, sales, or business outcomes

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Software shall not exceed the amount you paid for your Hostly license in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Software
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Content displayed by the Software on websites you operate

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your license if you breach these Terms, including unauthorized redistribution, fraud, chargebacks initiated outside the refund window, or use of the Software for illegal purposes. Upon termination, you must stop using and delete all copies of the Software.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Rawalpindi, Pakistan, unless otherwise required by your local consumer protection laws.
